Fiordland

One of the biggest national parks of New Zealand can be found on the South island, which is called Fiordland. The enormous mountains beautifully reflect in the lake beneath it. It is a view to fall in love with from the first second you arrive. An energizing trip to make could be a cruise that follows the way the fiords go to the ocean, and back of course. If you would like to be more active on your trip it might be a nice idea to take a guided look under water. To take a look at the fiords way under water is as breath taking as above. The bottom of the lake is 100 - 450 meters deep.

It is also possible to go kayaking, in the lake around the mountains. The beautiful silence is creating a mystic atmosphere. In this atmosphere a lot of animals and plants feel freely to live and grow in all serenity.  In this amazing place the Fiordland National Park is established. It was founded in 1952.The fact that flora and fauna is left alone by humans in this area has created some unique species. The downside for the tourist is that there are restricted areas where you may come so fauna and flora can quietly evolve.
