Mount Eden

volcano’s in Auckland. One of which is Mount Eden. From this
196m high volcano you can see all of Auckland, so many tourists take
tour busses to check out the view, as it is the highest
natural point of Auckland. The volcano’s crater is an incredible
50 meters deep, which is the result of the explosion that occurred
60,000 years ago. Mount Eden is not only the name of the volcano,
but of the surrounding suburb also. It was named after the
first earl of New Zealand: George Eden. Mount Eden housed New
Zealand best known prison as well: Mount Eden Prison.
