Taieri gorge railway

This is a railway company which operates especially for tourists. It takes you along some of the most beautiful scenery. This train departs daily except on Christmas day. It takes you a long the spectacular taieri river gorge, through tunnels which were made a 100 years ago! This railway was put out of service, because of the age. However it was reused again as a tourist attraction. This train has some stops, to enjoy the scenery and make some pictures. The trip is over 77 km. On this train you can buy refreshments and food. It has an all-weather programme as well.
